We hope that you have had great Celebrations of the lunar new year and a good start into the Year of the Goat. We also hope that we will meet again soon on our learning platform https://openHPI.cn as an exciting new course is starting soon: We are offering the MOOC “Web 技术 – Web Technologies”. This course, taught by Professor Meinel, will introduce the underlying technologies of the web: URI, HTTP, HTML, CSS and XML. In addition, we will give an insight into web services and web programming technologies along with their practical application. The course concludes with a look at how search engines – our fast and reliable signposts in the digital world – actually work to find contents and services on the web.

openHPI at the CeBIT in Hannover
In addition we would like to draw your attention to the fact that we will present our work at the at the CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, starting next week. For all of you who have the chance to attend this major event, you will find us on our big playground in Hall 9 at Booth D44. Here you can meet the whole openHPI-team (our masterminds behind openHPI : ) ) in person, you can try out our platform, you are able to hear interesting live-talks and presentations of openHPI professors and take part in our quizzes where you have the chance of winning openHPI-merchandise.
As the CeBIT’s focus is on China this year - we will give special attention to our Chinese platform.
